About Me

Peter Cangiano is a sports photographer, digital media creator, and former competitive swimmer from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently studying Sports Media at Ohio University, where he has built experience working across collegiate athletics, hockey, baseball, soccer, and live broadcasting. Peter previously served as the Media Director for the Ohio University Division II Men’s Ice Hockey Team, while also working as a Digital Content Creator and Photographer for Ohio Athletics, a live broadcast production team member for Ohio Bobcats Studio broadcasts featured on ESPN+, a Creative Services Intern for the Akron RubberDucks, and a Photography Intern for Cleveland SC.

Before stepping behind the camera, Peter spent 11 years as a competitive swimmer. Growing up in the sport taught him the discipline, emotion, and dedication that athletes pour into every practice and competition. However, despite years spent in the pool, he realized he had very few photos documenting those moments and milestones. That experience now drives his work as a photographer. By combining his background as an athlete with his passion for visual storytelling, Peter focuses on capturing the energy, emotion, and defining moments of sports so athletes can preserve memories that might otherwise be forgotten.
